According to Jeffrey Katzenberg, “Rihanna has done 12 songs for the movie ‘Home’. It’s not breaking into song. The characters don’t sing and dance in the movie itself in it. But it is the soundtrack of the film and the songs have been written very specifically for scenes in the movie and for characters in the movie. It’s a different type of musical than a ‘Broadway’ break into song one.”
The movie is apparently being released on March 27, 2015 instead of November 26, 2014. According to deadline.com:
Madagascar spinoff The Penguins Of Madagascar is moving up from March 27, 2015, to a Thanksgiving week bow of November 26. It’s switching places with Home, the aliens-hiding-on-Earth tale featuring the voices of Jim Parsons, Jennifer Lopez, Steve Martin and Rihanna.
The intergalactic adventure revolves around an overly optimistic (yet inept) alien race called the Boov, who invade Earth in an attempt to escape their mortal enemy, hoping to make this hiding spot their new home. But one resourceful girl named Tip (Rihanna) escapes the Boov’s relocation efforts and teams up with a banished Boov named Oh (Jim Parsons) to save the race after he accidentally clues the bad guys into the Boov’s whereabouts.

Rihanna breaks VEVO Record on YouTube!
Rihanna has become the first Artist to gain 5 billion Views on Youtube, putting her ahead of other mainstream artists such as Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber.
The singer’s VEVO Channel currently has nearly 14 million subscribers making it the most popular channel among artists.
In comparison, Lady Gaga currently has 2.84 billion views, just over half of that total, and has a long way to go before she can match her record total.
Her closest competitor, Justin Bieber, currently has 4.81 billion views but has over 4 million less subscribers on his channel.
At the end of 2013 VEVO announced it’s top 10 most viewed music videos with Rihanna coming in fourth place with ‘Diamonds’, which was released in early November 2012.
Rihanna has not released any new music videos on her VEVO channel this year despite breaking the 5 billion milestone.
